This year, Mrs. Franson’s yearly collection of cards for Veteran’s Day is expanded! 7 classes participated and over 300 cards were created and collected to mail to Veterans recovering at the VA Hospital in Lebanon, Pa – in time for a note of encouragement on Veteran’s Day. The cards will be distributed on meal trays to the veterans currently rehabilitating and needed some encouragement. Thanks to Auto Tech 1 students, Healthcare Pathways – CNA program students, Healthcare Pathways – EHP program, Cosmetology 2 & 3 students, Culinary students, and Mr. Schade and Mrs. Pugh’s social studies classes for creating these cards! @cpactc #opportunitiesunlimited #thankaveteran #franson #Nov2022

Social Studies classes held mock election yesterday, organized by our civics teachers. Students here in Mr. Adams’ class get to take time during class to “go” vote in a cubical & earn an “I voted” sticker as they vote on PA governor, PA senator, & opinion questions. We received word from TechLink that there were 8 schools eligible to have students apply for the TechLink Dual Enrollment Scholarship & CPACTC had half of the winners!
36 out of the 61 applications received were from Cumberland Perry students!
Based on the scoring rubric criteria, there have been 26 students selected for this scholarship – 13 of which attend CPACTC!
