A Message From Our Director:
Dear Families,
Shortly after the AM session this morning, CPACTC was informed of a potential underground fuel tank leak at the school facility. The PM session was cancelled in order to properly investigate and assess this situation. Later in the afternoon, this leak was confirmed. Students and staff were not in danger during this time and CPACTC has taken measures to contain and mitigate the leak. Testing on indoor air quality was performed and there was no presence of contaminants within the facility. Air monitoring will continue as we progress through this situation.
CPACTC students were not to be in session on Wednesday and Thursday this week due to 8th grade tours. Out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to postpone the tours to provide additional time to monitor containment. All middle school tours will be rescheduled. Student ambassadors and program helpers who were scheduled to assist with the 8th grade tours should not report to CPACTC on Wednesday and Thursday.
We expect classes to resume on Friday, October 20th. Confirmation of classes Friday will be forthcoming.
