Describe the company or industry in which you currently work.

“I currently work for Holiday Hair, located inside the Capital City Mall. I’ve been employed here since mid-July. My District Manager is Monica Foulds, and Salon Manager is Stephanie Grant. I’m excited to learn and grow with this company. I also work at Sally Beauty in Mechanicsburg, PA.”

 

What is your job title and what do you do?

“Holiday Hair as a stylist in training. I am working to build my book. I’m looking to perfect knowledge I already have within the industry and learn and master the newest trends in cuts & color applications. At Sally Beauty I am a cashier & beauty consultant for customers.”

 

What other employment have you had related to your program areas at CPACTC?

 “Fifth Avenue Hair Salon. I started with the private salon in January 2020 as a receptionist until September. Then I began the associate program until February of 2021.”

 

What additional education and training did you receive after leaving CPACTC?

“Completed my required cosmetology hours at Shears Cosmetology School. Associate program with 5th Ave. Hair Salon. Then hands-on training with Jess McCoy & Talon Maring.”

 

How was Cumberland Perry different than your regular high school?

“Cumberland Perry focused on our career choices. It gave us the opportunity to work hands-on, while learning and practicing our skills. High School focused on all general education subjects.”

 

How has your industry changed?

“Trends are always changing yearly to give our clients the most current styles, colors and cuts. New equipment is also always being released.”

 

What is your favorite CPACTC memory?

“The New York City Hair Show (IBS NYC Hair Show of 2016).”
