culinary alumni spot- April 2026

Maddie and Isabella recently came to visit their "Old Stomping Grounds" at CPACTC, to support their previous classmates, and Culinary Instructor, Chef Miller. They promised to return next year when Cafe opens in the band new Culinary Restaurant space.

Here is what they had to share with us...

Describe the company or industry which you currently work in.

"I work in Compass Group."

"I work at Potteiger Meats."

What is your job title, and what do you do?

"Front of House Service Assistant."

"I work in the office and skin cut, and more. We mostly butcher/prepare deer meats."

What other employment have you had related to your program at CPACTC?

"I worked at the Philadelphia Pretzel Factory part time and cross trained."

"I worked in the kitchen at Midway Bowling."

How was CPACTC different than your regular high school?

"The interactive, hands-on experience of learning. The content is directly related to what I wanted to do as my profession. So all of my learning, school was career-focused."

What additional training/education have you had after leaving CPACTC?

"I am currently a student at the Culinary Institute of America."

What is your favorite memory of your time at Cumberland Perry?

"All of my memories of my time at CPACTC are great, but going to the PA Farm Show Culinary Competition for PA Flavor was my favorite."
