Sasha Roble- Cooperative Education Coordinator (December 2025 edition)
Dalton Wright, a senior Computer Programming student from Greenwood High School, is turning his passion for technology into real career skills through a unique blend of classroom learning and workplace experience. He chose CPACTC because he learns best through hands-on work, and attending CPACTC has allowed him to build practical skills and start working toward a career while still in high school.
His interest in computers and coding led him to the Computer Programming program, where over the past three years he has learned multiple programming languages and completed projects that have deepened his understanding of how technology works. Wanting real job experience before graduation, he is now a co-op capstone student, a program that allows students to apply classroom learning, develop professional skills, and earn money while exploring potential career paths
For his co-op capstone placement, Dalton was hired at Everound, a managed information technology services company based in the Harrisburg area. Everound helps businesses improve efficiency, strengthen digital security, and solve a variety of IT challenges. The company provides a range of services, including help-desk support, network and server administration, cybersecurity solutions, cloud services, and more.
At Everound, Dalton works as a Support Specialist Intern, handling support tickets, building and setting up computers, troubleshooting IT issues, and managing a variety of tasks that keep systems running smoothly. He appreciates the supportive team environment and the variety in his daily work, even when busy days challenge him to improve his skills.
Through this co-op capstone experience, Dalton hopes to become more confident in IT, sharpen his troubleshooting abilities, and gain comfort working independently in a professional setting. After graduation, he plans to continue full-time at Everound, valuing the company’s environment, colleagues, and opportunities for growth.
For students considering a co-op capstone experience, Dalton encourages asking questions, being punctual, and showing a willingness to learn. He wants CPACTC students to know that co-op can open many doors for those who take it seriously.
Dalton is truly grateful for his co-op opportunity and excited to continue growing this year.
